La Petite Maison's Drink – How to Make It

We present an easy interpretation of a drink from a new drinks list. Designed as a large-volume pre-mixed that's packed with flavours of a festive period, which makes it perfect for your celebration. Save the extra citrus syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or to mix additional servings of bikinis.

Makes enough for 10 guests

For the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar

Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)

400ml good quality vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Whole cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Method

Making the Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Next, take off the burner and leave to cool completely. Decant into an sealable bottle, cap it and store chilled, where it will keep for about a month.

For the Cocktail Base: Combine every spirits and syrup in a big jug, leave to sit for an hour, then filter it best through cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.

When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the premix to a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for one minute to chill. Pour to a cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with the cranberries and complete it using a brief mist of mandarin oil above the glass.
